How was your onboarding experience at 99?
My entry into 99 Advisory was made easy by the leadership’s clever selection of my first mission and strong support from existing team members. Regular contact from my manager (Olivier Rhiel) made me feel supported and part of the team. The long duration of this mission (6 months) allowed me to deepen my knowledge in various areas of the compliance. Initial success gave me confidence to continue.
What projects have you been tasked with?
The best thing about 99 Advisory is the range of projects available and the confidence the leadership has shown in my ability to deliver for our clients. During the last 18 months, I have worked on projects with banks and asset management companies. The subject matters on which I have advised cover compliance and risk monitoring, review of compliance plans and policies, AML and KYC support remediation, UBO identification and holding structure analysis, suspicious case analysis and reporting to FIU, and review and update of policy and reporting frameworks all in the banking sector. In corporate administrative services, I have advised on corporate governance policies and procedures, written corporate compliance manuals and delivered AML trainings.
How does the firm help you grow?
As touched on above, first, 99 Advisory has a strong team environment and the senior leaders invest time in training and supporting. Second, and as is evident from the range of missions on which I’ve already worked in a little more than 12 months with the team, 99 Advisory also has a great emphasis on broadening the skills and experience of its consultants through regular training programs (intensified during the Covid confinement) followed up with relevant new projects that deepen those skills.
How do you fit into the 99 Advisory values?
99 Advisory has pushed me to become more independent and proactive through the range of interesting and challenging missions where I am responsible for representing 99 Advisory’s expertise and professionalism in front of the client. It was not easy at first, but I have grown tremendously due to the training and opportunities put in front of me by 99 Advisory.
What do you like about the corporate culture?
99 Advisory can definitely be a challenging environment in which to work. You have to be independent and a little fearless. The reward comes in the strong support from colleagues and 99 Advisory’s leadership. Training and development are emphasized and there’s always plenty of support available. This is because at 99 Advisory, the client comes first – together, anything really is possible!
